Taylor Swift Nashville Concert Delayed For Hours

Taylor Swift's final concert delayed for hours due to lightning in Nashville

Sunday night's Taylor Swift show in Nashville, Tennessee, was almost four hours late because of bad weather. The outdoor show at the Nissan Stadium had to be put off because it was raining and there was a chance of lightning in the area. Fans who were already at the stadium were told to go inside to get out of the pouring rain, while those who were still in their cars were told to stay there.
Even though the rain caused a delay, Swift played in Nashville for the third straight night on her Eras Tour on Sunday. Storms in the area earlier in the evening forced fans in the city's Nissan Stadium, where the Tennessee Titans play, to stay put as lightning came close to the stadium. From about 5:40 p.m. local time until 9:25 p.m., the shelter-in-place order was in force.
About three and a half hours later, when the show was ready to start, people at Nissan Stadium played Taylor's 2010 song Sparks Fly.
Drop everything now! Meet me in the pouring rain! Shelter in Place has officially been lifted! Fans, please start safely making your way to your seats. Once production wraps up, Taylor Swift will hit the stage!- Nissan Stadium
Swift tweeted two hours into the order that she was thankful for the first two nights of the tour in Nashville and that the final show would go on as planned. she wrote on Twitter,
PS I know there's talk of a rainy weather vibe tonight but I'm ready to play, see you sooon!!- Taylor Swift
The 'Eras' show usually starts at 6:30 p.m. local time with two opening acts. On Sunday night, those acts were Pheobe Bridgers and Gracie Abrams. But the show has to stop while lightning is still going on. When lightning hits within eight miles of the stage, the show has to stop.
If there is no lightning within eight miles for 30 minutes, the show can start again. The National Weather Service and the Nashville Office of Emergency Management help concert organizers decide when a show needs to be stopped. If there is rain but no lightning, the show can go on as planned.
To make up for lost time, Phoebe Bridgers and Gracie Abrams did not play their sets as the opening acts. Reports say that Taylor went on stage around 10 p.m. in his time zone. Social media videos showed that it rained steadily for the whole three-hour concert, and Taylor's hair and clothes were clearly wet.
The singer's third and last show in Nashville was at that show. During her first show on Friday, she made it clear that the re-recorded version of her album Speak Now from 2010 would come out on July 7. Speak Now (Taylor's Version) will be the singer's first new song since Midnights came out in October 2022. It is also her most recent re-recorded album since Red (Taylor's Version).

Fans of Taylor Swift move like a rainstorm. The ‘Eras Tour’ Taylor Swift Nashville concert delayed for hours. For a long time, it looked like the show might not happen. Due to a lightning alert, Nashville's Nissan Stadium told people to stay inside an hour before Gracie Abrams was to perform as the first opening act for Taylor Swift's Eras Tour show on Sunday, May 7.
