Madonna Was Rushed To Hospital For 'Serious Bacterial Infection'

Madonna Hospitalized for ‘Serious Bacterial Infection’

Madonna's longtime manager set the record straight about her health scare after hearing that the Queen of Pop was taken to the hospital after being found unconscious in New York. Guy Oseary said the 64-year-old singer of "Material Girl" got a "serious bacterial infection" on June 24 that kept her in the ICU for several days. It was said that her oldest daughter, Lourdes Leon, who is 26 years old, has been by her side the whole time.
Her health is improving, however she is still under medical care. A full recovery is expected.- Guy Oseary
He also said that she would need to take some time off before the start of her world tour so that she could fully heal.
At this time we will need to pause all commitments, which include the tour. We will share more details with you as soon as we have them, including a new start date for the tour and for rescheduled shows.- Guy Oseary
The tour was supposed to start in Europe on October 14 and end in North America on December 13. The last show was set to happen on January 30, 2024. The global mega-tour was supposed to go to 43 places and last until the end of January 2024. An announcement said that the star wanted the tour to "show respect to the City of New York, where her music career began." Madonna said in the release,
I am excited to explore as many songs as possible in hopes to give my fans the show they have been waiting for.- Guy Oseary
Recent reports say that Madonna has been "strenuously rehearsing"for her upcoming tour. But on Saturday, it sounds like her health was so bad that her family wasn't sure if she would make it. A family member who didn't want to be named said,
For the past couple of days, no one really knew which direction this was going to turn, and her family was preparing for the worst.- a family member who didn't want to be named
Madonna, whose full name is Madonna Louise Ciccone, is an iconic American singer, songwriter, actress, and businesswoman. She was born on August 16, 1958, in Bay City, Michigan, United States. Madonna is often referred to as the "Queen of Pop" and has had a profound influence on popular culture and music since the 1980s.
Madonna's music career began in the early 1980s when she released her self-titled debut album, which spawned hits like "Holiday" and "Lucky Star." She continued to achieve tremendous success throughout the decade with albums such as "Like a Virgin" (1984) and "True Blue" (1986), which featured chart-topping singles like "Material Girl," "Like a Virgin," and "Papa Don't Preach."
In addition to her music career, Madonna has also ventured into acting, appearing in films such as "Desperately Seeking Susan" (1985), "Evita" (1996), and "A League of Their Own" (1992). She has also directed and produced several documentaries and has been involved in various philanthropic endeavors.
With a career spanning several decades, Madonna has sold over 300 million records worldwide, making her one of the best-selling music artists of all time. She has received numerous accolades, including seven Grammy Awards, as well as being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2008.

Multiple news outlets said that Madonna was taken to the hospital on Saturday after her manager, Guy Oseary, found her unconscious. Her boss said on Wednesday that she had a "serious bacterial infection," but he also said that she should get better soon. Madonna said earlier this year that she would start her "Celebration" tour to mark the 40th anniversary of the start of her singing career. More information about Madonna's illness and hospitalization is still not known. But Lourdes Leon, her daughter, was with her the whole time.
