Lassner, who worked with Boss on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," also published a heartfelt Instagram post honoring the choreographer on Friday, December 16; the post also contained a message for people who say that some celebritiesare self-centered when discussing Boss's passing.

With a black-and-white photograph of Boss smiling widely at the camera, Lassner continued:

According to the television producer, Boss was a selfless individual who made everyone he met feel like "the most important person in the world."
Lassner stated that Boss was a friend to everyone, which explains why so many people are mourning his passing.

Boss became a DJ on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" in 2014. Later, in 2020, he became an executive producer and remained on the daily show until its cancellation earlier this year.

On Wednesday, Dec. 14, Holker Boss, 34, issued a statement confirming her husband's death.

In her statement regarding her husband's passing, Holker, 34, thanked Boss for placing family, friends, and community above all else, and for placing a premium on leading with love and light.

He was the backbone of our family, the best husband and father, and an inspiration to his fans. To say he left a legacy would be an understatement, and his positive impact will continue to be felt.
