As the final decision of "not guilty" was read, Spacey's eyes filled with tears. The Oscar winner looked at the judges, put his hand on the lapel of his blue suit and pink shirt, and said "thank you."He was 64 years old.
Wednesday, after about 12 hours of deliberation, a panel of nine men and three women found the actor not guilty of nine charges. These included several sexual assault charges and a charge of forcing someone to have penetrative sexual activity without their consent. The case was one of several against Spacey that came up during the #MeToo movement.
In addition to being cleared in London, Spacey has also won two criminal cases in the U.S. and a $40 million lawsuit from actor Anthony Rapp, who said Spacey sexually abused him when Rapp was a boy in 1986. Spacey said that if he was found not guilty in London, he would go back to acting full-time. The Hollywood star talked to five of the jurors in the lobby of Southwark Crown Court. When he left the building, he spoke to a large group of reporters and photographers.

The four guys said they had been attacked at different times between 2001 and 2013. From 2004 to 2015, Spacey lived in London, where he worked as artistic director at the Old Vic Theater.
At the time, his time in charge of England's most important theater was praised, as he raised its image around the world with shows like a touring version of Shakespeare's "Richard III," starring Spacey, and other revivals. Two years after he quit being a director, the men came forward in 2017. They joined nearly a dozen others who have accused the actor of sexual misconduct.
