Netflix has apologized for a glitch that caused a popular live stream of its hit dating show ‘Love is Blind’ live reunionto be late. Monday at 20:00 BST (15:00 ET), a pre-recorded show of the Love is Blind reunion aired.
Fans of the show, in which people get engaged before they even meet, took to social media to vent their anger. The streaming giant didn't say what the technical reason for the delay was, but it did say it was "extremely sorry."

Netflix APOLOGIZES After Love Is Blind Live Reunion Is Delayed | E! News

The long-awaited live reunion on Netflix The season 4 cast of "Love is Blind," a reality dating show, was supposed to come out on Sunday, but technical problems kept fans waiting. In the end, Netflix decided to record the show for streaming and announced that it would be available around the world on Monday at 3 p.m. ET.
To everyone who stayed up late, woke up early, gave up their Sunday afternoon… we are incredibly sorry that the Love is Blind Live Reunion did not turn out as we had planned. We’re filming it now and we’ll have it on Netflix as soon as humanly possible. Again, thank you and sorry.- Netflix
The most recent season of the show, which was called a "social experiment where single men and women look for love and get engaged, all before meeting in person," focused on four couples and a few people who used to be. People flocked to the live reunion because the season was full of drama, with love triangles and "mean girls."
About 75 minutes after the scheduled start time, some US viewers were able to watch the stream, but most saw a screen that said "there's a problem with the livestream." As time went on, Netflix said there would be delays. At 02:30 BST, 90 minutes after it was supposed to start, the streaming giant apologized and said it was filming the episode instead.
Netflix didn't say why they stopped the livestream, but the host of the show, Vanessa Lachey, said in a live video on Instagram with the caption "Apparently we broke the internet" that it was because of a technical problem.
This was Netflix's second attempt to bring a live event to its viewers. In March, it successfully streamed a Chris Rock comedy show. Most of the comic's routine went off without a hitch, and only a few people on social media reported problems at the time. However, technical problems meant that the Love is Blind livestream never started for most people.
Downdetector, which keeps an eye on websites, showed that more than 10,000 people in the US said the site wasn't working during the stream. The reality TV show, which was made by Kinetic Content and created by Chris Coelen, debuted on Netflix in 2020 and is now in its fourth season.
In the show, fifteen men and fifteen women are all looking for love. The men and women must date each other for ten days in "pods" that are built into the room. They can talk to each other, but they can't see each other.
After ten days, the two people can extend a marriage proposal if they want to. In the dating experiment, the couple can't meet until they agree to get married. Only then will they be given more tests.

Conclusion

Sunday night, Netflix became the center of a reality TV storm when its second-ever live event, the season four ‘Love is Blind’ live reunion was significantly late. The special was supposed to start at 8 p.m. ET, but it didn't start until over an hour later because viewers kept getting kicked off the show or getting pop-up messages saying it couldn't be played.
